How do I make it look more convincing?
Go fullscreen so the browser's address bar doesn't give it away, and set the brightness to match how the person normally keeps their screen. A crack positioned off-center, roughly where a real drop impact would land, reads as more believable than one dead-center.
Can I move the crack to a different spot?

How can someone tell it's fake right away?
