The seven presets below cover the most common needs. If you need an exact shade instead, a specific brand color, a hex code from a design file, or a color already showing somewhere else on your screen, use the custom picker further down: type the hex directly or sample it with the eyedropper.

The seven presets above use the same fixed hues as this site's individual color pages, while the custom picker reads colors directly through your browser's EyeDropper API when it's supported, so what you sample is exactly what's on your screen. Browser support for that API is checked periodically, which is why the tool falls back to manual hex entry when it isn't available.
